Bach music festival 2018

Got to shoot the Bach music festival this weekend.

The Toronto Bach Festival illuminates the creative genius of western music’s preeminent composer through exhilarating, historically-informed, and innovative performances. Founded in 2016 by John Abberger, the Toronto Bach Festival endeavours to promote the music of this iconic composer to diverse audiences. Over time we aim to perform all of the composer’s works, sacred and secular, from intimate chamber pieces to large-scale works for orchestra, choir, and soloists.

Portrait Street artists at Multipli’city @ Underpass park

On assignment _ portraits of graffiti artists Claire Kehoe & Anya Mielniczek two of Street artists working on Multipli’city @ Underpass park in partnership with Mural Routes, Friends of the Pan Am Path and StARToronto

In 2015 Mural Routes, working with these partners, managed the Live Art Festival, a live painting event that saw twenty artists transform the east side of the park. Since then, Underpass Park has become a much-photographed Toronto landmark. Multipli’city will extend this animation to the west side, and will compliment the existing public artwork Mirage by acclaimed artist Paul Raff, who has graciously given his permission for this project.

“We are excited to work with a new group of diverse, talented artists to extend the transformation of Underpass Park,” said Karin Eaton, Executive and Artistic Director of Mural Routes. “The theme of multiplicity is intended to remind us that our diverse people are the real pillars of Canada; the artists themselves are a wonderful representation of this theme. They are a diverse group who will bring a range of styles to the project. We can’t wait to see their dynamic designs come to life.”

Canoeing and Cobechenonk (Humber River) Shadow Show

Took Part in a local event called Cobechenonk Shadow Canoe Show. You get to paddle down the Humber River while experiencing a shadow puppet show the group By Drawing With Knives Presented by Balance Bringers

We can tell you that our relationship to Cobechenonk (Humber River) goes much deeper than 150 years. We can telll you that the river has been an important waterway since time immemorial. That it continues to be a significant site for many Indigenous people. We can tell you many things about Cobechenonk, but actually, we’d rather invite you to board one of our canoes and experience it for yourself.

Explore and share stories of the river and teachings about water, the animals, plants, and ancestors of the river past and present. Paddle a canoe with us as these stories are brought to life by shadow puppetry. Or if you prefer to stay on land, sit and share food, songs and stories from Elders and hand drummers. A fire will be lit.
Presented by Eventual Ashes and the Balance Bringers
